Print work

There are diverse and fascinating histories of printing linked to the promotion and dissemination of ideas and actions that go back hundreds of years.

Our own practice of printing is informed and inspired by traditions such as the DIY zine culture of the 1970s, activist printing in the late 1800s, Bauhaus design, and the work of Dutch printer H.N. Werkman.

All prints are made with traditional wood blocks that were reclaimed from old printing houses in the region of Brussels. We constrain ourselves to only use red and black ink and wooden print blocks. The creativity and artistry therefore comes in through the choices we make in composition and style.
